The 'Bodak Yellow' hitmaker claps back at haters who say she will lose her career when she has a child, saying, 'As a woman, why can't I have both?'

AceShowbiz - Cardi B admits her pregnancy was unplanned. Though now she embraces it and is ready to become a mother at a young age of 25, the raptress reveals there was a time when she considered an abortion.

In an interview on Power 105.1's show "The Breakfast Club" on Tuesday morning, April 10, the Bronx femcee said when asked if the pregnancy was planned, "No, it wasn't planned." She added, "It was just one night ... it was a good night ... that one night, it had to be that night."

She said that she "kinda, sorta" considered terminating her pregnancy. She added, "But then I didn't want to deal with the whole abortion thing. I just didn't want to. And it's just like, 'You know what? I'm a grown woman. I'm 25 years old. I'm gonna say this in the most humblest way ... I'm a schmillionaire, you know what I'm saying? And I'm prepared for this.' "

The "Bartier Cardi" hitmaker, who just released her debut studio album "Invasion of Privacy" on April 6, also clapped back at naysayers who told her that motherhood would ruin her career. "It just really bothers me and it disgusts me because I see a lot of women online like, 'Oh I feel sorry for you, oh your career is over,' " Cardi shared.

She added, "As a woman, why can't I have both? Why do I gotta choose a career or a baby? Like, why can't I have both? I want both." She also received criticism from people close to her, but in the end she doesn't want to wait until she's "30-something" to have a baby, explaining, "I want my kid now that I have energy."

Cardi, who has been engaged to Offset since October last year, also talked about their engagement. "And even though, let's say, God forbid we don't [work out], my man is a great father to his kids, so I will never lose," she said of her fiance, who has three children from previous relationships. "I'm not having a baby with a deadbeat."

Speaking on another radio show, Hot 97's "Ebro in the Morning", the raptress, who debuted her baby bump on "Saturday Night Live" on April 7 after months of speculations, seemed to let slip of her baby's sex. When asked, "Did you cover up the baby?" she responded, "Yeah, she was...," before mumbling her words.

Previously, her sister Hennessy Carolina appeared to reveal the baby's sex on Instagram when congratulating Cardi on her pregnancy. She allegedly wrote, "give her all the kisses and hugs," before changing it into, "give the baby all the kisses and hugs."
