Children's Hospital Los Angeles thanks the 'London Fields' actress as she is among those who donate between $1 million and $5 million during its 2017 fiscal year.

AceShowbiz - Amber Heard kept her promise to donate her Johnny Depp divorce settlement to charity. As reported by TMZ, she was on the list of Children's Hospital Los Angeles' "Honor Roll of Donors" who donated between $1 million and $5 million during the July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017 fiscal year.

The hospital wrote on the report, "We are honored to acknowledge our extraordinary donors for their generosity during fiscal year 2017. On behalf of all the children and families whose lives you have impacted, and everyone at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, we offer our sincere thanks."

In 2016, the "Justice League" actress said that she would split the $7 million divorce settlement between two charities, which were American Civil Liberties Union and the CHLA. As part of the deal, Johnny donated $100 thousand to each organization in Amber's name and she would donate the rest of the money after she obtained it.

In a statement to TMZ, she said that ACLU was chosen as it particularly focuses on stopping violence against women. Meanwhile, CHLA was chosen as she has been a volunteer in the organization for the past 10 years. At that time, she admitted, "As described in the restraining order and divorce settlement, money played no role for me personally and never has, except to the extent that I could donate it to charity and, in doing so, hopefully help those less able to defend themselves."

Amber recently told PEOPLE, "My philanthropic efforts have always been centered around medical care, especially with women and children. Medical care always struck me as a basic human right and necessity. I have been doing this type of work for the last 14 years with children's hospitals and bringing, hopefully, laughs and alleviation and distraction to kids that are severely ill."
