Conor McGregor Is Wanted by Police After UFC Fighter Was Injured in Bus Attack

The Irish mixed martial artist is currently sought for questioning after a video showed him and his friends attacking at bus in the parking lot of the Barclays Center.

AceShowbiz - UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor is "wanted as a person of interest" in a bus attack that left another UFC fighter injured. The 29-year-old professional mixed martial artist and boxer and his friends brutally attacked the bus in the parking lot of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York in an apparent brawl between UFC fighters.

In some videos obtained by TMZ, Conor and members of his entourage were seen throwing objects at the vehicle which was about to leave the arena. One of the objects was thrown to the bus window and caused an injury on UFC lightweight contender Michael Chiesa. According to the site, the victim was cut up and bloodied.

Someone was seen grabbing a chair and throwing it at the front window of the bus. Conor also grabbed a chair and tried to attack, but he was restrained. He was reportedly running around the arena before the incident.

Fighters were at the arena doing media ahead of UFC 223. It's unclear what caused the brawl, but UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, who was also in the bus, got into a heated confrontation with Conor's good friend and training partner Artem Lobov on Tuesday at the UFC fighters' hotel in New York.

Sophia Mason, a spokeswoman for the New York Police Department, said in an email that Conor, accompanied by about 10 others, entered the Brooklyn arena around 1:30 P.M. and "threw a hand truck at a bus, causing an injury to an individual on the bus." She described the injury as minor.

UFC President Dana White said of the incident, "They stormed the building, got down to the loading docks where the fighters were getting on buses and started to attack the buses with trash cans, dollies." She additionally told ESPN, "This is the most disgusting thing that has ever happened in the history of this company."

Police spokesperson George Tsourovakas said officers were unable to locate those involved because they "fled the scene" before police arrived. Conor is still sought for questioning, but no arrest has been made related to the incident.

White confirmed that there "is a warrant out for Conor McGregor's arrest and they are looking for him right now." The 29-year-old hunk was not scheduled to fight at UFC 223.

Meanwhile, Michael, who was slated to face Anthony Pettis on the main card, has been ruled out of Saturday's UFC 223 due to facial injuries he suffered in the incident.
