Robert Downey Jr. has responded to the Russo brothers' request to fans to keep the plot details a secret, writing on Twitter, '#ThanosDemandsYourSilence.'

AceShowbiz - Less than a month before "Avengers: Infinity War" is released in theaters worldwide, not much is known about plot details of the movie. And directors Joe and Anthony Russo intend to keep it that way, asking fans to avoid spoiling the story when they promote the movie in a series of select screenings before the upcoming Los Angeles premiere.

On Tuesday, April 3, the movie's main villain Thanos shared a letter penned by the director duo and posted on the Russo brothers' Twitter account, demanding fans' "silence." Addressed to "the greatest fans in the world," it made it clear that the movie would not be screened in full until the premiere.

"We will not screen the film in its entirely until the Los Angeles premiere shortly before the film's global release," the letter continued. "Everyone involved with the film has worked incredibly hard for the past two years maintaining the highest level of secrecy." They additionally claimed that "only a handful of people know the film's true plot."

"We're asking that when you see 'Infinity War', in the coming months, that you maintain that same level of secrecy so that all fans can have an equal experience when they watch it for the first time," they concluded. "Don't spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn't want it spoiled for you."

The letter was signed by the Russo brothers with the hashtag #ThanosDemandsYourSilence written below.

Star Robert Downey Jr. later retweeted the directors' post to further spread the request for secrecy. He wrote along with it, "I trust you all can keep a secret...no spoilers please :)"

Dubbed the beginning of the culmination of everything that has come before, "Avengers: Infinity War" brings together Marvel's heroes including Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bettany), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) as well as the Guardians of the Galaxy to fight against Thanos (Josh Brolin).

The movie will arrive in theaters everywhere on April 27.
