Written by Andrew Morton, 'Meghan: A Hollywood Princess' also reveals that the royal-bride-to-be 'abruptly' ended her marriage to Hollywood producer Trevor Engelson.

AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle is getting a new biography book, and this one is written by Andrew Morton. Titled "Meghan: A Hollywood Princess", the book reveals that the "Suits" alum, who is soon to marry Prince Harry, has always adored Princess Diana, to the point she wants to be "Princess Diana 2.0."

Morton, who wrote Diana's bio "Diana: Her True Story in Her Own Words", details in the new book that Markle was enamored of the British royal family and especially admired Diana from her teenage years. "According to family friends, she was intrigued by Diana, not just for her style, but for her independent humanitarian mission, seeing her as a role model," Morton writes.

According to excerpt published by The Sun, the brunette's friend Ninaki Priddy even said that Markle "wants to be Princess Diana 2.0." Seeing Diana prompted Markle and a friend to collect clothes and toys to donate. Her big interest in the late Princess of Wales also made her friend give her Morton's biography of Diana.

"Meghan: A Hollywood Princess" also claims that Markle was "a social climber." Morton writes, "A networker to her fingertips, she seemed to be recalibrating her life, forging new friendships with those who could develop her career."

The 36-year-old was said to not hesitate to throw things if she felt that they were holding her back, including her first husband and their marriage. Markle allegedly abruptly ended her marriage to Hollywood producer Trevor Engelson. Markle and Engelson married in Jamaica in September 2011.

Following her success in acting career, Markle was said to be no longer dependent on Engelson as she was making new friends and making more money. "A wealthy entrepreneur friend claimed the marriage ended so abruptly that Meghan sent Trevor her diamond wedding and engagement rings back by registered mail," Morton writes in the new book. "Another [friend] confirmed that the decision to end the marriage was made by Meghan and had come 'totally out of the blue.' "

"Meghan: A Hollywood Princess" will be released in the U.S. on April 27. Meanwhile, the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Markle will take place on May 19 at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.
