Wearing a black turtleneck and putting her blond locks into a ponytail, Taylor performed acoustic versions of her hits such as 'Shake It Off' and 'Love Story'.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift made an unexpected appearance at Bluebird Cafe in Nashville on Saturday night, March 31 as she went back to her country roots. The songstress was introduced by songwriter Craig Wiseman, an old friend whom she met at a charity show when she was a teenager.

"I wanted to say a big thank you to the Bluebird Cafe," she said before starting her performance. "I think any songwriter in town would echo my sentiments and say that this is the kind of only place where this exist--this particular place where you get to come and hear the writer's take on the songs they've put out into the world."

Wearing a black turtleneck and putting her blond locks into a ponytail, Taylor performed acoustic versions of her hits such as "Shake It Off" and "Love Story". She also belted out Little Big Town's "Better Man", which she wrote.

"When I would play writer nights... I didn't have the experience of a writer writing something and then it going out into the world and you earing it from someone else's perspective until recently," she said, referring to "Better Man". "Little Big Town gave me the opportunity to feel that way... to be at the Bluebird and play a song you've maybe heard on the radio. I will always be forever grateful to them for that."

In the middle of the performance, the songstress took the time to recall an event where she and best pal Ed Sheeran stole Craig's inflatable bottle of Fireball at a CMT after-party which was held at the latter's building. "I was going to take it home!" Craig yelled before unpacking several tiny bottles of Fireball. "For old times sake," he added.

After finishing their performance, the pair drank from the bottles. Craig then took the empty bottle from Taylor and said that he was going to sell it and donate the money for charity. It turned out to be a joke, though.

Taylor's performance that night was filmed for a documentary in honor of the cafe's 35th anniversary.
