The second season of the Marvel Comics-based sci-fi series is set to premiere on April 3 on FX.

AceShowbiz - Ahead of its season 2 premiere, "Legion" drops a new first look at the highly-anticipated season. In the newly-released featurette, the cast and the writers tease what to expect in the new season of the mind-bending Marvel Comics-based series.

Season 1 ended with David, played by Dan Stevens, getting zapped up into an orb. Co-producer/writer Nathaniel Halpern says in the video, "Syd and the rest of the gang are left in Summerland, not knowing where he's gone or who has taken him in." However, it's been confirmed that he will be returning right away in the first episode of season 2.

But when David returns, he doesn't seem to be remembering all that happens during the time he is trapped in the orb. Dan explains that while his character still has got the connection with girlfriend Syd, the couple will be facing a trust issue. "She's been missing him for a year, so there's some bridges to build in the relationship," the "Beauty and the Beast (2017)" actor says.

In addition, people are having trouble to believe David's story. "I was inside this sphere. It was yesterday, wasn't it?" Dan can be seen telling his story to Syd, who previously confronts him as she asks him where he has been.

Dan, who looks confused, tries to recall his experience in the orb. "I remember being in a roof downtown and dancing?" he says.

Creator/director/writer Noah Hawley shares, "First year was very much about mental illness and the idea of what's normal and what's not normal. I wanted to continue to explore those ideas about mental illness. What is a delusion? How does a delusion take hold? How does it thrive? What does it take for a group of people to go mad?"

"The gift of this show is the adventure and the experiment," Rachel Keller, who portrays Syd, opens up. "It's not meant to be straightforward. It's meant to be an experience."

Aubrey Plaza, meanwhile, teases that the second season will be trippier than the previous season. "[In] season one, you kind of thought, 'Wow, that's really trippy. What we're doing?' But this season is like ten times more," the Lenny depicter says.

"Legion" will return on Tuesday, April 3 at 10 P.M. on FX.
