The 'Maleficent' star is said to be turning down the 'Friends' alum's dinner invitation as the latter 'wants a fresh start on all fronts' after splitting from Justin Theroux.

AceShowbiz - Do you think Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston can bury the hatchet between them? While Jennifer may be planning to call a truce, Angelina seemingly isn't really interested in making piece with the ex of her ex-husband Brad Pitt.

According to InTouch (via HollywoodLife.com), Jennifer has "extended an invitation" to have a friendly dinner with the "Maleficent" star. "Jen thought it was finally time to resolve the past," a source tells the webloid, adding that the "Friends" alum "wants a fresh start on all fronts" following her split from Justin Theroux.

However, Angelina allegedly turns down the offer. As for why, it's said that the "By the Sea" actress thinks "she didn't owe her an apology." The source continues, "The whole idea to get together for dinner turned into a disaster."

The webloid states that Angelina shuts down Jennifer's attempt to end their beef because she's jealous over the news that Brad is hanging out with the latter. "It's gotten back to her that Brad and Jen are in each other's lives again. She's furious about it," claims the source.

Rumors of Jennifer and Brad getting back on are currently running rampage, with George Clooney being the matchmaker.The "ER" alum reportedly encouraged the "Inglourious Basterds" actor to reach out to Jennifer following her split from Justin. "They've been secretly getting together for late night hook ups, and it's all because of George," a source said.

The source adds, "George was the first person to call him when his marriage to Angie imploded. After Jen and Justin Theroux announced their split, he encouraged Brad to reach out and give their relationship another chance."

While Jen was close to George when she was with the "Allied" actor in late 1990s until early 2005, George was shunted out of Brad's life by Angelina during Brad's relationship with the "Salt" actress. And now that Angelina has left Brad's life, George reportedly took the opportunity to get Brad back together with Jen.

A rep of George, however, denied the claims.
