Paris Themmen, who portrayed cowboy-enthusiast and TV addict Mike Teeve in the classic 1971 movie, appears on the game show but the show fails to mention it.

AceShowbiz - Mike Teeve is finally on TV! Paris Themmen, who played the character in classic 1971 movie "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory", fulfilled Mike's dream to be on TV by surprisingly appearing in the Tuesday, March 13 episode of "Jeopardy!". Now 58 years old, Themmen drove people crazy when they found out that it was him.

"Is nobody realizing that Paris on Jeopardy right now, is Mike TV from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory?.... Like legit it's the actor," a fan noticed and wrote on Twitter. It didn't take long for it to be the much-talked-about topic as another user said, "Mike TV is on Jeopardy and i'm way more excited about it than I should be. Go Paris Themmen!"

Another fan was shocked that host Alex Trebek didn't mention that Themmen was the actor who played cowboy-enthusiast and TV addict Mike Teeve. In fact, during the episode, Themmen was introduced as "an entrepreneur from North Hollywood, California."

"Wait, did @Jeopardy not mention that contestant @ParisThemmen was in 'Willy Wonka,' or did I miss it? It's not every day that Mike Teevee is on TV! #Jeopardy," the fan wrote.

Equally excited, another fan tweeted, "I'm proud to say I totally recognized Mike Teevee on my TV on @Jeopardy tonight. @ParisThemmen." Meanwhile, one other said that he finally recognized it was Mike Teeve child actor after Trebek repeated the former actor's name. "WBZ interrupted the opening of Jeopardy! so I didn't get his name until Alex Trebek repeated it - it's @ParisThemmen, Mike Teevee from Willy Wonka!" he wrote.

During the episode, Themmen enthusiastically talked about his love of backpacking. When asked about his favorite place, he shared, "My favorite was Mount Everest Base Camp."

However, it turned out that he didn't deliberately ignore the fact that he used to star in the iconic, fan-favorite movie. Telling Us Weekly, Themmen revealed, "Alex had a card in his hand with three fun facts about me in it, including Willy Wonka. Because he is a travel enthusiast, he asked me about that."

Themmen, who runs the website Wonka Pops, added, "Personally, I was just happy to be there and was focusing on my game. I embrace the fact that I am associated with such a well-loved and iconic motion picture." He also said that he "loved the entire 'Jeopardy!' experience" despite not winning. He finished second and took home $6,800.
