Many social media users point out that her music video is very similar to the ad, with one user calling the visuals 'the poor man's version' of the Kenzo ad.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift's new music video has only been out for a day and it's already causing controversy. The former country singer has been accused of ripping off a Spike Jonze-directed Kenzo advert in her "Delicate" music video.

The Joseph Khan-directed music video features Taylor performing dance moves and pulling silly faces around the corridors of a fancy hotel. On the other hand, the advert features actress Margaret Qualley making silly faces before showing off dance moves at an event.

Many social media users pointed out that her music video is very similar to the advert, with one user calling Taylor's music video "the poor man's version" of the Kenzo ad. Another wrote that the music video "is almost beat-for beat, just worse with dancing."

One other user listed all the similarities between the two clips, including "lonely/contemplative look off-cam," "silly wink faces," and "profile tracking shot of militant walk." The user also pointed out that both Taylor and Margaret do a ballet leap in their respective clip, but the latter "is a mutant dance goddess, so Taylor was doomed there."

Meanwhile, one user dubbed Taylor's music video "an insanely blatant copy/rip-off of the Spike Jonze Kenzo World commercial." The user then pointed out the similarities between the clips, which were "The setting, colour palette, choreography, everything."

Another wrote, "What came first, the Kenzo ad or Taylor Swift's Delicate music video? ANSWER: the Kenzo ad. ARE THERE NO ORIGINAL IDEAS ANYMORE? Lmk." One user, meanwhile, tweeted, "Taylor Swift's 'Delicate' video is weirdly similar to the Spike Jonze KENZO World commercial."

A rep for Kenzo has responded to the controversy, playfully saying, "Listen Tay, I feel you. It's hard to stay fresh. Call us, we can help." While Taylor has yet to comment on the accusation, a source close to the singer has come to her defense, saying that her clip has a "beginning, a middle and an end," as well as multiple locations.
