AceShowbiz - "House of Cards" is just getting started. The Netflix political series has just released the first trailer of its sixth and final season. The newly-released trailer shows that Robin Wright takes over the leading duty as Kevin Spacey is visibly absent from the trailer.

The trailer sees that except from the new chief, things remain the same in Washington, D.C. People in the White House are seen walking fast as if they have no tomorrow.

The camera later pans through the hallways before it stops in the Oval Office. A new figure is spotted behind desk. Instead of Spacey's Frank Underwood, viewers find Wright's Claire Underwood, the estranged wife of Frank, sitting in a blue power suit. "We're just getting started," she declares, before "Hail to the chief" is written on the screen.

Spacey was removed from the final season following multiple sexual harassment allegations which were leveled at him. In addition of "Star Trek: Discovery" star Anthony Rapp, who alleged that the Oscar-winning actor made sexual advances on him when he was 14, eight anonymous former and current employees of "House of Cards" came forward with similar accusations against Spacey.

Now that Spacey was fired, "House of Cards" has tapped several actors to join the final season. Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear are set to play major roles in the upcoming season which is said to be having eight episodes. It remains to be seen, however, what characters the "Man of Steel" actress and "The Last Song" actor will be playing except the fact they will play siblings.

"The Asssassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story" actor Cody Fern will also join the cast for the new season. While details of his character are kept under wraps, the Australian star is attached as a series regular.

The sixth and final season of "House of Cards" is scheduled to arrive this fall on Netflix.
