The two cloned dogs are proof of how much Barbra loved her dog Samantha which died in 2017.

AceShowbiz - A dog lover, Barbra Streisand, has done a shocking thing to keep her beloved pet around her for a long time. She revealed that she has cloned her dog, Samantha which died in 2017, twice, showing how much she loved the dog.

During an interview with Variety, Barbra said that she wanted a portrait taken at her Malibu estate with her three dogs to be called "Send in the Clones." This was not just a meaningless phrase. Barbra revealed that she had cloned her 14-year-old Coton du Tulear dog, Samantha, before it died.

The clones, which were created from the mouth and stomach cells of Samantha, then arrived. Barbra dressed them in red and lavender to tell them apart. Thus, she called them Miss Scarlett and Miss Violet.

"They have different personalities," Barbra said. "I'm waiting for them to get older so I can see if they have her (Samantha's) brown eyes and seriousness."

She has also adopted a new dog which was brought by a breeder. It was said that the dog was a distant cousin of Samantha. Barbra named the adopted dog Miss Fanny. The picture of her three dogs appeared on her Instagram post earlier this year with a caption which read, "Happy New Year from my three girls... Pink, Blue & Violet."
