AceShowbiz - The Chainsmokers has given fans another single to listen to. As promised, the DJ duo unleashed a new single entitled "You Owe Me" on Friday, February 16 along with its accompanying music video.

The nearly-four-minute visuals features Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart preparing for a friendly dinner with their friends, cooking meal and cleaning up their mansion. The dinner seems normal at first, but halfway through the meal, Alex and Drew turn into vampires and start eating their own friends.

"You don't know me/ Don't you think that I get lonely?/ It gets dark inside my head/ Check my pulse and if I'm dead you owe me," Andrew sings over pop-punk guitars and synth line. "If you're lonely/ Don't you think you're on your own." The end of the clip sees the two guys cleaning up the mess that they make.

"You Owe Me" was first teased on Twitter on Valentine's Day. The duo shared the single's cover art as well as a line from the chorus. "If you're lonely, don't you think you're on your own," so they wrote on the micro-blogging site. The Chainsmokers previewed the song during one of the stops of their Memories Do Not Open tour.

The new single is a follow up to their first single of 2018, "Sick Boy", which was released on January 17. The latter song finds Andrew singing about a reflection of their generation and the struggles to find identity on social media.

Unlike their previous songs, which usually deal with love issues, their new tracks lean more towards a darker direction. Talking about their new approach, Andrew said, "The next topic is a little bit darker, but I think that's the tone of society right now. Our stuff is always a reflection of what's going on in our lives and the world around us."
