Appearing on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', the actor/director revealed that no one approached him regarding the reboot of the hit NBC comedy.

AceShowbiz - Fans of "The Office" rejoice when it was reported that NBC was trying to reboot the hit comedy. However, it seems like John Krasinski, who was one of the original cast members, is kept in the dark about the project.

Appearing on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", the actor/director revealed that no one approached him regarding the reboot of the series, on which he played Jim Halpert. "I did hear that. On the internet," John told Ellen DeGeneres.

"Guess who didn't get a call? Me," he joked. "What does that say? NBC's like, 'You know who we didn't like? Jim.' "

The host, however, told him that it might be impossible to do a reboot without him. "They wouldn't do it without you," Ellen reassured the actor, who can next be seen on Amazon's "Jack Ryan". The husband of Emily Blunt responded, "Well, it looks like they are. I haven't gotten a call yet."

John didn't rule out the possibility of him reprising the role of Jim though, should he be offered. "I was just looking for a phone. Imagine if they were like, 'Will you?' And I'm like, 'Let's suit up,' " he said.

John's on-screen wife Jenna Fischer previously said something similar of the planned revival. "I don't know anything about 'The Office' revival. I know as much as anyone else," she said on Monday, January 8 at the Television Critics Association press tour, promoting her upcoming ABC series "Splitting Up Together". The Pam Beesly depicter added, "I don't know. I think that's for networks to figure out if I were to be asked."

Just like John, Jenna also revealed she was all down for the reboot. "I love Pam! I think the idea of an 'Office' revival is--I think it's a great idea," she said. "I would be honored to come back in any way that I'm able to. I loved playing that character."
