According to a source close to the English girl group, the girls plan to hold stand-alone shows as going on a tour will be impossible due to their family circumstances.

AceShowbiz - Don't worry, Spice Girls fans. It appears there is still a possibility to see the girls performing on stage. Even though Victoria Adams a.k.a Victoria Beckham shut down the rumors that the group would be embarking on a reunion tour, new report claims that they are planning a handful of stand-alone shows.

According to The Sun, the English girl group and manager Simon Fuller have been in talks over the past week with several promoters who offer a lot of money for their reunion shows. "Given the family situations, committing to a grueling mega world tour was always a tough task," an insider close to the group tells the publication. "When they got back together this month to discuss reforming, a mammoth tour was dismissed by the majority."

"But performing together again certainly wasn't, so the idea of playing a few huge shows in various cities was one that received the most interest," the source continues. "However, that's just one aspect of the comeback they're exploring, especially in the short-term."

Victoria denied the reunion tour rumors during New York Fashion Week. "I'm not going on tour," she told Vogue. "The girls aren't going on tour."

Asked about the plans for their upcoming reunion, Victoria answered, "There's something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for. What is that in the future? What does that look like? We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming."

Spice Girls announced their reunion earlier this month, sharing on social media pictures from their meeting at Geri Halliwell's house. "The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together," they said in a statement. "We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations."
