Richard Pryor Didn't Sleep With Marlon Brando, Daughter Claims

Previously, Pryor's widow Jennifer Lee confirmed that he was always open about his bisexuality and documented it extensively in his diaries, which she will publish later this year.

AceShowbiz - Richard Pryor and Marlon Brando's relationship is not like what some people initially thought, according to Pryor's daughter Rain. In her Facebook post, she shut down the rumors, which were first sparked by Quincy Jones in his Vulture interview and later were confirmed by Pryor's widow Jennifer Lee, that her father slept with Brando.

"Daddy did NOT have relations with Brando. There were no trips to his South Pacific Oasis, no flowers or love notes between. Not even a film role," Rain wrote on the site on Thursday, February 8.

"Why this sudden need to drag Daddy through the Hollywood mud? I find it tasteless and infuriating," she continued. "At least get the details right, but of course we live in the age of faux news is real unless we disagree for our own agendas, and people need to stay relevant by dishing dirt."

"As one of his children, I should not have to defend my brilliant and bruised father to anyone. I should be commenting on his genius comedy and the fact that he not only wrote, directed and produced ... he had an office at Columbia Pictures and was once one of the Richest men," she went on saying. "I should be sharing prolific anecdotes because he was an activist and so brutally honest. But instead I am sharing much vulnerability with some mean spirited gossip rag readers who believe anyone with money and fame."

Rain concluded her lengthy message by saying that "Richard Pryor, is not your Hollyweird scandal performance," but "he is our daddy." She added, "He is our perfect imperfection. He is our legacy and we are most certainly his. So get a life and focus back on what’s really going on in the world."

Jones was the first to accuse Pryor, who died at the age of 65 in 2005, of having sex with "The Godfather" star, who died at the age of 80 in 2004. "He'd f**k anything. Anything! He'd f**k a mailbox. James Baldwin. Richard Pryor. Marvin Gaye," the legendary record producer spoke of Brando in his recently-published wide-ranging interview.

Pryor's widow Jennifer echoed Jones' remarks in her interview with TMZ. Speaking to the news outlet, Jennifer said that Pryor was always open about his bisexuality and documented it extensively in his diaries. She added that she's planning to publish the diaries later this year.

Jennifer further confirmed Pryor's bisexuality on her Twitter account as she wrote, "If you listen to Richard's comedy---the early stuff---he was way ahead of his time on gay rights!!! #noshame." She added in a separate tweet, "oh girl-ah- The 70's: everyone was bi! Experiment/experience-Twosomes, threesomes and then some--#noshame."
