The 'DNA' hitmaker assures fans that he is okay after the surgery and is currently resting while taking a break from promotional activities.

AceShowbiz - RM (previously known as Rap Monster) has shared update on his condition after undergoing a surgery for deviated septum. The 23-year-old idol took to BTS a.k.a. Bangtan Boys' official Twitter account to assure fans that he's okay after the surgery.

"I'm okay. My surgery went well and I'm doing good taking a break while also working on music time to time. Don't worry," the rapper and songwriter wrote along with pictures of his cute white puppy staring at the camera.

The Twitter post was soon flooded with messages from fans wishing him speedy recovery. "Get well soon Oppa!" one wrote. Another commented, "i love you please rest a lot." One other responded to RM's tweet, "I'm glad that you're feeling better now. I love you so much. Get enough rest baby."

News of RM's surgery first broke on Monday, February 5 with insiders saying, "RM got surgery for septal deviation. The surgery went well, and he's been released from the hospital. He'll probably take a break for a while."

His label Big Hit Entertainment later confirmed the report, saying in a statement, "It is true that RM received surgery. He recently got surgery and has now been discharged from the hospital. He will rest and focus on recovery for now."

Deviated septum is a condition in which the nasal septum -- the bone and cartilage that divide the nasal cavity of the nose in half -- is significantly off center, or crooked, making breathing difficult.

BTS last released their new song "Crystal Snow", a Japanese track, in December. The ballad written by the group's leader RM peaked at No. 85 on Korea's songs chart and No. 2 on Billboard's world songs chart. They also recorded "With Seoul" for "I.SEOUL.U" campaign. The group has been tapped as the face of the campaign.

BTS will release their third Japanese album titled "Face Yourself" on April 4. The album will include Japanese versions of all their singles, including "MIC Drop", "DNA" and "Go Go", alongside two new tracks.
