AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian has officially announced the name of her third child, who was born on January 15 via surrogate. The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star has taken to her website/app to reveal that she and husband Kanye West named their new baby daughter Chicago West.
The new mom of two also announced the news on her Twitter account on Friday, January 19. She wrote in a follow-up tweet, "North, Saint & Chi."

But how do we pronounce Chi West's name? Her currently-pregnant aunty Khloe Kardashian has revealed that the little girl's name is pronounced "Shy." "I LOOOOOOOOOOVE her name," so the 33-year-old reality TV star tweeted in response to Kim's post, adding, "hey Chi (shy)."

The name Chicago was actually "Kim's idea," according to a source close to the famous family, and Kanye "of course loved it right off the bat." To HollywoodLife.com, the source explains that "Kim wanted to recognize Kanye's roots and do something cute, fun and unique. Most of all Kim knew the name would make Kanye really happy... it has and that makes her happy too. The whole family thinks the name is great and suits the newest family member perfectly. Everyone is already calling her baby Shy."
For those who don't know, Kanye is from Chicago, Illinois. The source explains to the publication that the couple "had a few other ideas, including original names compromised of combining names of late relatives, but they wanted to meet their new baby before deciding and making everything official." The source adds, "Once they met her, they decided on Chicago fairly quickly."
