AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey reportedly is all up for taking her relationship with boyfriend Bryan Tanaka to the next level. The diva, however, wants to make sure that she gets an engagement ring she thinks she deserves by buying her own ring.
"Mariah made her intentions to get married very clear to Bryan when they were in New York for New Year's Eve," a source claims to Radar Online.
However, the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" hitmaker has one condition. "Because she knows that he [Bryan] will not be able to afford the kind of ring that she deserves," the singer allegedly "doesn't want him trying to buy an engagement ring." Instead, "she will buy her own."
The source adds, "She wants a scripted engagement and so that is what she is going to get."
That doesn't mean she doesn't love Bryan, tough. "Mariah does love Bryan and when she is with him she drops her diva attitude," the source shares. "Her team is happy because she is happy and when Mariah is not happy, no one around her is either."
The diva recently uploaded a happy snap of her and Bryan, taken at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards which was held on Sunday, January 7. Bejewelled with sparkling bracelets and rings, Mariah donned a sexy black dress which offered plenty of cleavage. She could be seen cuddling up to her much younger boyfriend, who looked dapper in a black suit.
Mariah left the post without a caption, but that didn't stop her online devotees from gushing over the on-and-off couple. "Mimi you & Bryan look beautiful together," a fan wrote. Other fans said that the two "look so cute together," while some others said that Mariah looked "stunning," "gorgeous" and "happy."
