The 'Flatliners' actress takes to social media to reveal that she has got married to her dancer and teacher girlfriend, sharing a photo of the couple's elegant wedding bands.

AceShowbiz - Congratulations are in order for Ellen Page and girlfriend Emma Portner. The 30-year-old Canadian actress has taken to her Instagram account to announce that she has got married to her dancer and teacher girlfriend.
Ellen posted on the photo-sharing site a series of photos, one of which featured the newlyweds' hands sporting elegant wedding bands. There's also an adorable black-and-white photo of the couple leaning in for a kiss. "Can't believe I get to call this extraordinary woman my wife. @emmaportner," so the Kitty Pryde a.k.a. Shadowcat of the "X-Men" film series captioned the Wednesday, January 3 post.
Emma, a fellow Canadian who is originally from Ottawa, Ontario, also took to her own account to post the same pictures as well as another shot of her kissing Ellen's hand while they're cuddling. "I get to call this incredible woman MY WIFE! @ellenpage I LOVE YOU!" wrote Emma, who works as a professional dancer and choreographer at the Broadway Dance Center.
Fans soon flooded their comment section with congratulatory messages. Some of them posted similar comments like, "Congrats!!!! Beautiful womens," "Oh my!!!!! Congrats you two!!!!" and "Congratulations! May love continue to persevere!" Another wrote, "Congratulations Ellen! May your love grow beautiful with joy and many blessings. Don't stop inspiring people, you got it."
Another fan gushed, "Love Wins. I'm so so so happy for u. Bless you." One other wrote, "May your souls connect forever to complete every level! Tons of sweets and lovely treats with all that would suit your needs!" adding, "Hope you both had a gigantic enormous massive XXXL cake to celebrate!"
Ellen came out as gay on Valentine's Day 2014 and has since been open about her sexuality. Opening up about coming out during an interview with Stephen Colbert in late 2015, she said, "I feel so grateful to feel how I feel now, compared to [how I felt] when I was a closeted person. It's not a nice place to be. [Staying in the closet] is toxic. I wish that no one had to live that way."
Before starting her romance with Emma, the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" actress dated Samantha Thomas from September 2015 to early 2017.
