AceShowbiz - It almost doesn't sound surprising if several Korean male idols tried to date DIA's Chaeyeon. The South Korean singer revealed that right after she debuted with the nine-piece group, she got approached by several male celebrities.
The 20-year-old beauty, who was born Jung Chae Yeon, explained that they did various ways to contact her, including going through her personal friends and all the way through her agency. "Some were singers, actors and others from different professions," she shared.
The "You Are My Flower" singer further added, "One of the male celebrities that made a move was someone I was a big fan of." However, as work comes first for her, she revealed that she rejected him. "For now, work comes before love," she explained.
Fans were dying to learn who were those male celebrities Chaeyeon was talking about. However, Chaeyeon didn't drop any name, much to fans' disappointment.
Her love life aside, Chaeyeon's both singing and acting careers keep going strong. The "Drinking Solo" actress was recently tapped to star on an upcoming KBS Weekend drama. Titled "Do You Want to Live Together", the series will have Chaeyeon starring opposites Yoo In Hyuk.
The upcoming drama will center on a family's struggles between elderly, conservative parents and their children, who are in their twenties and thirties. Things take a romantic turn after a man named Hyo Seop (played by Yoo Dong Geun), who raised his four children by himself after his wife died, meets Mi Yeon (played by Jang Mi Hee), his first love who reappears in his life as a building owner.
Chaeyeon will play the younger version of Mi Yeon, while Yoo In Hyuk will portray Hyo Seop in his twenties.
"Do You Want to Live Together?" is slated to air sometime in the first half of 2018 after "My Golden Life" ends its run.
