AceShowbiz - Lee Dong Gun and Jo Yoon Hee are officially parents now! The couple, who tied the knot in May this year, have welcomed their first child together. The 35-year-old actress gave birth to a baby girl on Thursday morning, December 14 local time.

Lee Dong Gun's label FNC Entertainment announced the happy news, saying in a statement, "[Jo Yoon Hee] gave birth to a beautiful girl this morning at a hospital in Gangnam. Both the mother and the child are currently healthy, while Lee Dong Gun is staying by their side."

Yoon Hee's agency King Kong Entertainment released a similar statement which read, "Jo Yoon Hee gave birth to a baby girl at a hospital in Seoul this morning. The mother and baby are both healthy, and Jo Yoon Hee is currently recuperating while receiving blessings from those around her. Lee Dong Gun is celebrating this precious moment with the rest of the family. Please give them your warm love and support."

Dong Gun and Yoon Hee began dating after meeting on the set of KBS' family drama "The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop", on which they played a couple. They confirmed their relationship in February.

On May 2, the 37-year-old actor announced that they had registered their marriage and were expecting their first child. They held their private wedding ceremony on September 29. Just like their baby on the television series, the couple called their baby "Hobbang" before her birth.

Following the end of "The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop" in early this year, Dong Gun starred on historical drama "Queen for Seven Days", which also aired on KBS, alongside Park Min Young and Yeon Woo Jin.

Both Dong Gun and Yoon Hee were awarded with Excellence Awards at the 2016 KBS Drama Awards for their roles on "The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop".
