AceShowbiz - Finally, she's back! "Marvel's Jessica Jones" has announced the release date of its highly-anticipated season 2, two years after debuting the first season. The sophomore season of the critically-acclaimed series is set to arrive on March 8, 2018 on Netflix.

In addition, the streaming giant has unearthed the first trailer of the upcoming season. The 1-minute video gives an insight into Jessica's adventure in the next season.

The fan-favorite, super-strong detective can be seen pulverizing doors, jumping from a Ferris wheel as well as smashing someone's face against mirrors. But it's not that she will face no trouble. The video teases that Jessica is arrested with a presumably cop pressing her body to the ground.

The trailer interestingly sees Jessica making a reference to fellow hero from Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man. "If you say 'With great power comes great responsibility,' I swear I'll throw up on you," she says.

The official logline for the sophomore season reads, "New York City private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why."

Jessica was last seen joining forces with other street-level heroes, Luke Cage, Daredevil and Iron Fist, on "Marvel's The Defenders", saving New York City from villainous the Hand.

Ritter previously said that the upcoming new season would be more personal compared to the first season. "I think what we can say is that what we've done again is kept the story very personal," the actress shared. "If season 1 was in her head and in her mind, then season 2 will be more in her heart. This season is more emotional. It's still a psychological thriller, but it's more of an emotional thriller this time."

"Marvel's Jessica Jones" stars Carrie-Anne Moss, Rachael Taylor, Eka Darville as well as newly-added cast members J.R. Ramirez and Janet McTeer.
