The 'Big Girls Don't Cry' songstress suggests the audience to listen to the track before singing a few lines from the song.

AceShowbiz - It seemed Stacy Ferguson a.k.a Fergie had a lot of things to say at The Trevor Project's TrevorLIVE L.A. Gala, which was held on Monday, December 4. The "Fergalicious" singer surprised the audience at the semi annual gala when she appeared to crash Armie Hammer's speech.

In a video that was shared by E! News, "The Lone Ranger" star was introducing director Tom Ford when Fergie suddenly walked onstage to interrupt him, leading Armie to pause his speech for a second. He then continued, "Oh yes! Ladies and Gentleman, Fergie!"

Taking the microphone, she joked that she is going to win at the Academy Awards before praising Tom, who is also a fashion designer. "And the thing is, behind all the Tom Ford life, which I thrive to get -- I was really embarrassed that I didn't have Tom Ford makeup in my bag, by the way; so shaming -- he is a person of compassion. He's a director. He loves to see people's feelings and listens," she said.

Fergie went on promoting her new song "A Little Work", which is the lead track off her "Double Dutchess". She noted that "this is not a shameless; I have a lot of shame. Uh, I have a new song called 'A Little Work' and I have a version that has alternate verses. Anyway, just get it if you want. You know what? Listen if you want. If you like it, listen, if you don't -- don't."

She then began singing a few lines from the said song before giving the microphone to Armie again. "If I had nickel for every time that I was confused with Fergie.. By the way, Fergie!" Armie joked, earning a laughter from the audience.

After the event, it was confirmed that the singer's antics was not spontaneous. In fact, she already planned it out with Armie and Tom, who sat with her. "It was a gag that everyone at the table came up with that fell flat due to timing," Fergie's rep told PEOPLE.
