Following Lauer's firing over alleged sexual harassment when he was covering the Winter Olympics in Sochi, it was said that Roque, alongside the couple's three kids, headed to her native Netherlands.

AceShowbiz - A shocking report about Matt Lauer and wife Annette Roque has emerged online. The former "Today" co-host allegedly offered his former model wife a whooping $5 million to stay in marriage.

PageSix reported that Lauer had Roque signed a post-nuptial agreement, which allowed her to get $5 million if she called off the divorce. Back in 2006, the half-Indonesia, half-Dutch beauty, who was pregnant with their third child Thijs Lauer at that time, reportedly filed for divorce from Lauer following alleged affair of her husband with "Today" show correspondent Natalie Morales when the two were assigned for the Winter Olympics in Tulin, Italy. Lauer and Natalie reportedly denied the rumors.

In paper courts, however, Roque cited "cruel inhuman" treatment as the reason of filing the divorce. "Defendant has continuously and repeatedly given higher priority to … personal interests than his family obligations to plaintiff, causing plaintiff to feel abandoned, isolated and alone in raising the parties’ children," according to court papers leaked in 2014.

Claiming that the pair had reconciled, Roque withdrew her divorce three weeks later. Sources noted that the move was needed as Lauer "needed to stay in the marriage to keep his reputation as America's nicest dad." While he might not a good husband to Roque, Lauer "is in fact a great, and very doting dad to his kids," Jack Matthew Lauer, Romy Lauer and Thijs Lauer.

In addition, it was said that the couple has been living separately for the last decade. Sources told the site that Roque, a former Victoria's Secret and J. Crew model, stays at the couple's properties in ritzy Sag Harbor, Long Island, while Lauer remains in their Park Avenue apartment during the week.

Things went rocky between the two when Lauer was assigned to cover Olympics in Vancouver. Lauer reportedly went "wild" at local nightclubs and remained in Vancouver to continue partying after the rest of the "Today" crew went back to New York. And by 2011, Roque and the children were living in Sag Harbor full-time, while Lauer stayed in Manhattan, heading out to join them each weekend.

Following Lauer's firing, it was said that Roque, alongside the couple's three kids, headed to her native Netherlands. However, another source claimed that she's still in the Hampstons. 14-year-old Romy was allegedly spotted leaving the home on Saturday morning, December 2.

Lauer was fired by NBC after an employee met with NBC News' human resource, allegedly accusing Lauer of inviting her to his hotel room late at night while covering the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia in 2014.
