The former 'Glee' star was arrested on Saturday night after her husband Ryan Dorsey provided evidence that the actress hit him in the head and the face, following an argument about their child.

AceShowbiz - Naya Rivera was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery after allegedly attacking her husband Ryan Dorsey in West Virginia. Deputies responded to a call for a domestic violence complaint on Saturday night, November 25, the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office confirms.

Ryan told the deputies that the former "Glee" star struck his head and bottom lip, and provided a cellphone video which supported his account. Sgt. B.D. Humphreys of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office told PEOPLE that Ryan "did not require medical attention" after the alleged altercation.

She was taken into custody around 9:30 P.M. ET and appeared before the judge early Sunday morning to be arraigned. Her bail was set at $1,000. She was released on a PR bond and was picked up by her father-in-law, according to local news station WSAZ.

"While we will not release details of the incident beyond what is in the criminal complaint (charging document), we will say the two were arguing over their child," Sgt. B.D. Humphreys further states. The couple was reportedly involved in an argument while they were on a walk with the 2-year-old boy. They were in West Virginia to spend Thanksgiving with Ryan's family.

Naya and Ryan first dated in 2010, when she still starred on "Glee". She was pregnant with his baby after their breakup but decided to get an abortion because her career was taking off. In April 2013, she began dating Big Sean. They got engaged, but called it quits in April 2014. Three months after, Naya and Ryan got married in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They welcomed their first child, a son named Josey, in September 2015.

In November 2016 after two years of marriage, Rivera filed for divorce from Dorsey. "After much consideration, we have made the decision to end our marriage. Our priority is and always will be our beautiful son that we share together. We will continue to be great co-parenting partners for him. We ask for respect and privacy for our family during this difficult time," they said in a joint statement. The pair called off the divorce last month.

Following report of Naya's arrest, her ex Big Sean appears to throw shade at the 30-year-old actress. On late Saturday night, he tweeted a video of a little girl saying, "I told y'all n***a. I told y'all n***a. Y'all thought I was playing, but I told y'all n***a."
