AceShowbiz - Just like most newlyweds, Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian follow up their blissful wedding with a romantic getaway. The couple was spotted leaving New Orleans, Louisiana, on Saturday, November 18 with their daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., on a private jet for their honeymoon.
In some pictures which surface online, Alexis got handsy as Serena ascended the stairs into the plane. He gently put his hand on the tennis star's backside while carrying a large black bag. He was also holding baby Alexis with his other hand.
Serena opted for a comfortable outfit in a black shirt, a gray jacket and matching sweatpants. She also wore a black hat and sunglasses. As for her husband, he donned a black T-shirt, jeans and a red-and-gold Redskins cap.
Serena and Alexis tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony on Thursday, November 16 at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans. "Alexis really wanted to do it here," the 36-year-old athlete said about the venue. "It's his favorite city besides Brooklyn. It's got a heavy European influence, it's fun, and has amazing food. He just loves the vibe. The venue-the Contemporary Art Center of New Orleans-was a decision we both made. Painting and art is something I'm really passionate about, so it just felt natural and different to do it at a contemporary art museum."
She walked down the aisle in a custom Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown with voluminous tulle skirt and a cape. The groom, meanwhile, looked sharp in a velvet suit by Armani. Serena changed into a white strapless Versace dress that featured lace and feathers throughout the bodice for the reception. She later appeared in a third dress, a little frock with a short skirt by Versace, for her first dance with her new husband.
New Edition and Tony Award winner Cynthia Erivo performed at the "Beauty and the Beast"-themed reception. Beyonce Knowles, Jay-Z, Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, La La Vazquez and Meghan Markle were among the guests at the wedding.
