AceShowbiz - "Big meets bigger." That is the headline of "Rampage" teaser poster shared by Dwayne "%cThe Rock%" Johnson on his Twitter Wednesday, November 15. In the caption, the actor said, "This is my best friend, George. A rare gigantic albino Silverback. I love animals because they're honest. If they like you, they lick you. If they don't, they eat you."
The poster features Johnson's character, Davis Okoye, and his best friend at the back, George. George is a rare albino silverback gorilla which got injected with an experimental serum that made him grow rapidly into a rage-filled 30-feet tall monster. Johnson, who is already considered big, must face formidable opponents which size are much bigger than him.

The official synopsis of "Rampage" reads, primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. To make matters worse, it's soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.
Previously, Johnson revealed that he used to be a big fan of Rampage game when he was growing up in Hawaii. "When I was a young teenager spending way too much time at pool halls, especially when school was actually when school was actually in session," the actor said, laughing. He also said that he was fascinated of gigantic-sized characters, such as King Kong, Godzilla, Ultraman and Voltron. "Even when I was a kid, when you watch these movies, everyone is looking up at something and terrified," he explained.
"Rampage" is directed by Brad Peyton and stars %cNaomie Harris% as Dr. Kate Caldewell, %cJeffrey Dean Morgan% as Agent Russel, and %cMalin Akerman% as the film's villainess. The action-adventure film is set for an April 20, 2018 U.S. release.
