AceShowbiz - Lionel Richie seemingly makes it clear that he isn't thrilled with daughter Sofia Richie's romance with Scott Disick. The R'n'B legend showed his discomfort during an interview with E! News on the red carpet at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation's Patron of the Artists Awards at the Annenberg Performing Arts Center in Beverly Hills on Thursday, November 9 which he attended with his 19-year-old daughter.

The 68-year-old singer later was asked if he's "a protective papa," or if he's all into Sofia's business. "I am into her business, but she's trying to keep me out of her business. The fact its, I don't know, how can you sneak when everything is on Instagram?" he said, before turning to his daughter and asking, "How did that work?" Sofia defended herself, saying, "Well, I'm not hiding anything from you."

When asked about her father on her dating life, Sofia, who has been making headlines with her relationship with the well-known party animal, answered, "He's good. He's been very nice. He's been very cool. He's very supportive, whatever that means." Meanwhile, in opposed to Sofia's remarks, his father jokingly made a gesture that looked like a gun pointing at his head.

The pair also talked about how they felt gracing the red carpet together at the event. "I'm so excited," Sofia, who dressed in a sharp white blazer and beautiful chandelier earrings, shared. "The fact that I got to get dressed up and go walk a carpet with him is so exciting for me. I love to go places with him."

The father and daughter also discussed their look for the event. "Who dressed who?" asked the reporter, to which Sofia answered, "We dressed our selves." Lionel added, "I will tell you, when she was a little girl I didn't realize how much affect they have on me because they're so honest. …. So, I always check in to see if I'm doing alright."
