The 27-year-old singer takes a shot at the 'Gold Digger' rapper in the track, making a reference to his feud with Jay-Z.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift has just released her highly-anticipated album "Reputation". As soon as the album was released on November 10, fans have started decoding all the tracks off the album. Her 13th track, "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things", is among them. It is believed that the track is a diss song aimed at Kanye West.

The track begins with Taylor singing about her enjoyable life, where she throws big parties and feels "so Gatsby." Then, she allegedly starts taking shots at Kanye, saying that he ruins her parade. "So why'd you have to rain on my parade?" she sings. "I'm shaking my head/ I'm locking the gates."

The lyrics get more intense and the references get more specific as the song goes on. Taylor makes a reference to when she and Kanye briefly made up at 2015 VMAs, where she presented the 40-year-old rapper with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. "It was so nice being friends again/ There I was, giving you a second chance," she rhymes. "But then you stabbed my back while shaking my hand."

Taylor then takes a direct shot at Kanye as she sings about the infamous "Famous" phone call. "Friends don't try to trick you/ Get you on the phone and mind-twist you/ And so I took an axe to a mended fence," she continues singing.

As a reminder, Kanye unveiled "Famous" back in 2016, where he rhymed about "making that b***h [Taylor] famous." Kanye stated that Taylor had approved of the lines, but the pop star said otherwise. Things got worse when Kanye's wife, Kim Kardashian, posted an edited clip of Kanye's phone conversation with Taylor.

In the clip, Kanye recited the lyrics of his song, leaving out the part where he said he made Taylor famous, and asked whether or not it was okay to include it in his song. Taylor then told him to choose whatever line he thought was best. "It's obviously very tongue-in-cheek either way... And I really appreciate you telling me about it. That's really nice," she said.

Shortly after the clip was posted online, Taylor responded that she never heard "that b***h" part. "Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me 'that b***h' in his song?" she said. "It doesn't exist because it never happened. While I wanted to be supportive of Kanye on the phone call, you cannot 'approve' a song you haven't heard."

Back to Taylor's new track, she also makes a reference to Kanye's feud with Jay-Z. "But I'm not the only friend you've lost lately/ If only you weren't so shady," she sings. The former country singer ends her diss by singing, "And here's to you/ 'Cause forgiveness is a nice thing to do/ Haha, I can't even say it with a straight face."
