Kanye West Films Self-Produced Documentary to Rival 'KUWTK', Kim Kardashian Isn't Happy

The rapper reportedly doesn't plan to put limits to anything for the project, making the mother of two and TV star 'very insecure' about how she might look.

AceShowbiz - Kanye West is preparing something which is poised to rival his wife's popular TV show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians". The "Gold Digger" rapper has been filming a self-produced documentary, but it seemingly makes his famous wife Kim Kardashian feel uneasy.

A source close to the couple reveals to The Sun, "Kanye is very much still filming the documentary about himself. Kanye's documentary is being crafted as a 'work of controversial art.' " The source adds that the Grammy winner "wants to make the movie of his life-but just about him and his work, not Kim and his family life."

"His vision is that it's going to be a cutting edge and 'real' documentary--all directed and produced by him," says the source. The father of two reportedly "thinks this is the ultimate in the reality TV--it's real life, and never been done."

Well, maybe that's not entirely true since Beyonce Knowles did something similar back in 2013. The "Lemonade" hitmaker released her autobiographical film called "Beyonce: Life Is But a Dream", which she directed, produced and starred in.

Of Kanye's project, the source notes that the rapper doesn't plan to put limits to anything. "He's been filming for a few years-has thousands of hours or footage-of him at work, at home, at events, talking to the camera, private moments and public moments,” the source explains. It's basically "everything from the last few years."

Although Kanye says that he wants the documentary to focus on him, Kim appearing on it is seemingly inevitable. And now that nothing has been off limits, his wife is reportedly "very insecure" about how she might look. "Kim's worried he'll end up being made fun of-and that she won't get final edit over the documentary like she does with the reality show, where she's a producer."

The source adds that Kim "wishes he'd just come on 'KUWTK' and show fans of what he's really like off stage, bring their kids on the show and let people into their lives." However, Kanye is said to be not fond of the idea appearing on the long-running E! show often. "He always says he doesn't like the way it's filmed and feels uncomfortable on the show," the source shares.
