Following Gloria's passing, NBC announced that it decided to cancel the tapings of the late-night show scheduled for the week of November 6-10.

AceShowbiz - Jimmy Fallon is mourning the death of his mother. Gloria Fallon, 68, passed away on Saturday, November 4, one day after "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" taping for Friday episode was canceled due to the host's family matter.

"Jimmy Fallon's mother, Gloria, died peacefully on Saturday," a Fallon family spokesperson told in a statement. "Jimmy was at his mother's bedside, along with her loved ones, when she passed away at NYU Langone Medical Center in NYC. Our prayers go out to Jimmy and his family as they go through this tough time."

Fallon added in a separate statement, "Today I lost my biggest fan."

A number of stars took to Twitter to send their prayers to Fallon and his family. Fellow late-night host Stephen Colbert said, "Mom is the first audience and the best. Remembering Jimmy Fallon and his family in our prayers today." Terry Crews added, "Heartbroken for your loss @jimmyfallon. (broken heart emoji)."

Following Gloria's passing, NBC announced that it decided to cancel the tapings of "The Tonight Show" scheduled for the week of November 6-10. The late-night show will air reruns instead in place for new shows.

"On behalf of everyone at NBC, we extend our deepest condolences to Jimmy and all his family at this time of enormous loss," the network said in a statement. "Our hearts go out to Jimmy and everyone else whose lives were so touched by Gloria Fallon's love, kindness and support."

Previously, "The Tonight Show" canceled its Friday episode after Fallon's mother was hospitalized. A source said that Gloria was admitted to a hospital and the 43-year-old TV personality went to the hospital to stay by her side. "Jimmy comes from a very close knit family, and together with the rest of his loved ones they are by her side right now," the source explained.
