Following Gloria's passing, NBC announced that it decided to cancel the tapings of "The Tonight Show" scheduled for the week of November 6-10. The late-night show will air reruns instead in place for new shows.
"On behalf of everyone at NBC, we extend our deepest condolences to Jimmy and all his family at this time of enormous loss," the network said in a statement. "Our hearts go out to Jimmy and everyone else whose lives were so touched by Gloria Fallon's love, kindness and support."
Previously, "The Tonight Show" canceled its Friday episode after Fallon's mother was hospitalized. A source said that Gloria was admitted to a hospital and the 43-year-old TV personality went to the hospital to stay by her side. "Jimmy comes from a very close knit family, and together with the rest of his loved ones they are by her side right now," the source explained.
Our thoughts and prayers go to Fallon and his family.
