Tyrese Gibson Ends 'Fast and Furious' Feud With Dwayne Johnson
Movie

Only days after threatening to leave 'Fast and Furious 9', Tyrese Gibson 'had a real heart-to-heart' and reconciled with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.

AceShowbiz - It seems that "Fast and Furious" actor Tyrese Gibson has calmed down after his feud with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. After calling his co-star a clown and threatening to leave "Fast and Furious 9" on his Instagram account a few days ago, Gibson shared another post, a picture of him, Johnson, and Vin Diesel. In that post, he said that he had reconciled with Johnson and would not post anything about him anymore.

"Want you guys to know I had a real Heart to Heart with one of Dewayne's associates and this will be my last post about him... I repeat my last.... I respect the associate who called.. My story will never change I was never DJ's Co-Star... I'm Shayla's Father first.... Justin Lin is back in the driver seat that's exciting cause it going to feel like the true #FastFamily all over again... When we see Justin we see Paul..."

The two might be on good terms for now. However, there are some notes which imply that this feud could possibly spark again. Gibson did not apologize for the things he had said about Johnson in the past and he did not express respect for Johnson himself because he only respected "the associate who called" on the former wrestler's behalf. Gibson still called Johnson "Dewayne" instead of his correct first name. Other than that, he also said, "I was never DJ's co-star," suggesting that his latest post still contained concealed resentment.

The feud began as Johnson teased a "Fast and Furious" spin-off centering on his character. Gibson commented on his co-star's Instagram post, "If you move forward with that #Hobbs Movie you will have purposely ignored the heart to heart moment we had in my sprinter. I don't wanna hear from you until you remember what we talked about. I'm on your timeline cause you're not responding to my text messages. #FastFamily is just that a family... We don't fly solo," he wrote.

He privately implored Johnson to not agree to do the spin-off movie, but it appeared that his plea was ignored by Johnson. After the spin-off was greenlit, Universal Pictures delayed the ninth "Fast and Furious" movie and it made Gibson even more upset.

Most recently, he threatened to leave the upcoming movie if Johnson's still involved in the project. He also hinted that the main reason behind his feud with Johnson was that he was going through a tough custody battle over his daughter, Shayla, and he was "almost broke and swimming in legal fees." Moreover, the delay of the next "Fast and Furious" film would financially trouble him.
