After a producer of the daytime talk show appears to hint at the popular group's possible appearance, the agency has released an official statement, confirming the invitation.

AceShowbiz - It looks like Bangtan Boys a.k.a. BTS is not planning to slow down its American takeover. The popular K-Pop group, who captured many international fans' hearts recently, is said to be expanding its global success by guesting on one of the most popular America TV shows, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show".

The rumors come after a producer of the Ellen DeGeneres-hosted talk show takes to Twitter to hint that the boyband, which consists of Jin, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin, V, Jungkook and leader Rap Monster, will appear on the show. Andy Lassner writes, "It's gonna happen," in response to a fan's tweet, which reads, "Ellen DeGeneres' producer said something interesting about inviting BTS to the show. What does ARMY think of this?"

BTS's fandom, known as Army, are so excited with the idea. A fan tweets, "I would like to see BTS on Ellen the show & discuss their social based music and promote the End Violence campaign that would be beautiful." Another fan seemingly goes speechless over the possibility of his/her idol appearing on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", posting a meme of Wendy Williams fainting on live TV.

The group's agency, Big Hit Entertainment, later issues an official statement regarding the matter. "BTS have been offered to appear on multiple overseas programs and 'The Ellen Show' is one of them. Nothing has yet been confirmed," says the agency in the statement.

Though Big Hit doesn't confirm the report of BTS appearing on the talk show, it doesn't necessarily rule out the possibility. As BTS has skyrocketed to international fame, it doesn't sound entirely impossible for Ellen to invite BTS, who becomes K-Pop sensation after winning Top Social Artist Award at the Billboard Music Awards in May.

Should BTS appear on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", the group will be the first K-Pop idol group to guest on the show. The Emmy-winning show previously invited a number of Koreans who went viral on YouTube, including Korean beatboxer "Bigman" Daeung Yun and Lydia Lee, who caught people's attention after covering Adele's "Hello" on the video-sharing platform.
