AceShowbiz - Brie Larson had a wardrobe malfunction as she went braless in a sheer Chanel dress while attending an event in Hollywood on Wednesday night, November 1. The 28-year-old actress was posing for photographers on the green carpet when her nipple pasties became visible through her sparkly outfit.

Brie still looked stunning though despite the fashion faux pas. The "Captain Marvel" star styled her hair in an elegant do and accessorized with classic Neil Lane jewelry. A pair of black strappy shoes finished up her look as she hit the green carpet at PORTER Magazine's Incredible Women Gala in Association With Estee Lauder held at NeueHouse.

PORTER's Incredible Women of 2017 is a list made up of 50 women who have challenged the status quo and the year when women came together in an unprecedented show of unity. A feeling of solidarity runs through the list with a special nod to the entertainment industry which saw women create some of the year's most talked-about and celebrated TV and film.

At the event, Brie read an invaluable letter of advice which was written by fellow Academy Award-winning actress Jane Fonda to her younger self. "I wish I could explain to you that the painful things that will make your life challenging and get you in trouble are the things that will ultimately make you strong and compassionate," so the "Kong: Skull Island" actress read.

Aside from Brie Larson, other celebrities attending the event included Charlize Theron, Mary J. Blige, Elizabeth Banks, Selma Blair, Jeremy Renner, Melanie Griffith Annabelle Wallis, Seth Macfarlane, Mia Goth, Misty Copeland, Kate Bosworth, Garrett Hedlund and more. Appearing as a special music guest was Kacy Hill.

Elizabeth Banks read a letter by British author Caitlin Moran written to her teenage daughter with motherly advice to be opened in the event of her death. "Just resolve to shine, constantly and steadily, like a warm lamp in the corner, and people will want to move towards you in order to feel happy, and to read things more clearly," the "Pitch Perfect" star read. "Always believe you can change the world--even if it's only a tiny bit, because every tiny bit needed someone who changed it."
