'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' pulls the plug on the segment that was supposed to have the actor as a guest.

AceShowbiz - Jeremy Piven was dropped as a guest on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert". His pre-taped interview was supposed to air this weekend, but the segment was scrapped following sexual assault accusations against him.
"Jeremy Piven's interview for Friday's broadcast was pretaped earlier this week on Monday, Oct. 30. Since we were unable to address recent developments in that interview, we are replacing that segment with a new guest," said a "Late Show" rep.
Piven sat down with Stephen Colbert to promote his CBS drama series "Wisdom of the Crowd" which premiered in October. The network responded to the scandal, "We are aware of the media reports and are looking into the matter."
Jeremy Piven was accused of groping actress Ariane Bellamar on the set of HBO's show "Entourage" which earned him three Emmys. "Today, via the press reports, is the first we are hearing about Ariane Bellamar's allegations concerning Jeremy Piven. Everyone at HBO and our productions is aware that zero tolerance for sexual harassment is our policy. Anyone experiencing an unsafe working environment has several avenues for making complaints that we take very seriously," HBO stated.
The actor vehemently denied the accusations, "I unequivocally deny the appalling allegations being peddled about me. It did not happen. It takes a great deal of courage for victims to come forward with their histories, and my hope is that the allegations about me that didn't happen, do not detract from stories that should be heard."
He was also defended by his friend Joanna Krupa. "I've known Jeremy Piven for a very long time. He's like the nicest f**king guy I've ever met, so I think people are taking advantage of the whole situation with [Harvey] Weinstein, and they're trying to make a living or they're trying to get famous," she said.
