AceShowbiz - %cTaylor Swift% gave fans an inside look of "Gorgeous" songwriting process. She took to Instagram on Wednesday morning, November 1 to share a link to her behind-the-scenes video as well as post three pictures of her working on "Reputation".
One picture shows her recording with %cJack Antonoff%, while another picture shows her playing a guitar. The third picture is a selfie of the singer, standing behind a microphone in a recording studio. She captioned the pictures, "A glimpse into the making of 'Reputation'. There's a video of me writing 'Gorgeous' on @att's YouTube page. Link in bio."
In the YouTube video, the Grammy Award winner shared the songwriting process of "Gorgeous". Starting from day one, Taylor was seen playing a guitar while singing an early version of the song. You may have noticed that the songstress slightly changed the lyrics since then.
The video then fast-forwarded to weeks later, where Taylor was sitting behind a piano, working on the lyrics. It was shown that she struggled to finish the lyrics as she kept repeating the same part over and over again.
Though she was having a hard time to complete it, she sang the first verse smoothly. "You should take it as a compliment/ That I got drunk and made fun of the way you talk/ You should think about the consequence/ Of your magnetic field being a little too strong," she rhymed. "And I got a boyfriend, he's older than us/ He's in the club doing I don't know what."
While working on the lyrics, Taylor was interrupted by something on her window. She quickly stopped playing the piano and looked at the window to check what it was. She seemed scared as she later stared at the camera and said, "Ghost."
"Gorgeous" is the third track off Taylor's highly-anticipated effort "Reputation". The album is set to be released on November 10.
