Lima's bandmate Brad Fischetti reveals that the 40-year-old singer has been diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal cancer and will undergo chemotherapy and radiation.

AceShowbiz - LFO's Devin Lima has been diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal cancer, a week after undergoing surgery to remove a massive tumor on his adrenal gland. A biopsy reveals the rare cancer and the singer will undergo chemotherapy and radiation as part of his treatment plan.

It's Lima's bandmate Brad Fischetti who broke the news in a YouTube video released on Monday, October 30. "Devin asked me to give you this update without him because, frankly, he's not feeling very well," Fischetti said. "But, he asked me to send you his love and gratitude for all the love and prayers you've sent his way."

He added of Lima, "He's had a tough recovery. He had a few really difficult days in the hospital, but thankfully, he's home now, resting and healing."

"I wish we had better news to share," Fischetti continued to give an update on his pal's condition. "It's devastating news, but at the same time, there's nobody I know stronger than Devin Lima. No one has a stronger body, mind or soul. If anybody can defeat this, it's Devin. I know with your prayers and your thoughts and your positive energy coming down his way, there's no doubt that he will beat it."

An update on Devin. What's up guys, Brad here.  I just left the hospital.  Devin is in a tremendous amount of pain, but like he said, it was expected.  The doctors are working to manage his pain and to help him get some rest.  They are also monitoring his kidney function and vitals closely.  We should have the pathology report back next week.  Please continue to pray for NO CANCER.  Despite the struggles, Devin's spirits are good.  The desire to get back to music drives him.  As soon as he is home he'll be back in the studio writing and producing.  As soon as his diaphragm is healed, he will start singing again.  When the doctors give him the green light, we will start rehearsing again with the band.  And when Devin is back to 100%, we will hit the road again.  And then together with you, and Rich from above, we will rock every venue in each city as hard as we physically can.  We look forward to sharing the next chapter of this LFO experience with you.  Many thanks for your love and prayers. - Brad & Devin

LFO's publicist Alaina Bendi said in a statement, "Our whole LFO team is distraught over this and we want nothing more than to see Devin back on stage doing what he does best but, unfortunately, LFO is at the bottom of the list of things that Devin needs to accomplish to get back to normalcy in his life."

"Brad has been by his side since day 1 when Devin fell ill so, LFO will always be together," the statement continued. "Devin is so overwhelmed by the amount of love and prayers from around the world and thanks each and every one of you for your thoughts. He is home now with his family resting comfortably while he awaits his upcoming treatment plans."

LFO, known for their 1999 hit "Summer Girls", had been preparing to announce a spring tour date, but had to change those plans following Lima's surgery and his latest health condition. They recently returned with a new single, "Perfect 10". Another member of the band, Rich Cronin, died of leukemia in 2010.
