AceShowbiz - Fans can finally get a better look at the big baddie of "Justice League", Steppenwolf. An international trailer for the upcoming superhero team-up flick has made its way out online, and it includes a scene where the leader of Apokolips' army can be seen threatening a terrified human who begs for his life.

Steppenwolf says that "this world will fall, like all the others." As the massive villain lifts the man into the air by the collar of his shirt, the man begs, "Please! We have families." Unmoved by the tearful plea, Steppenwolf replies coldly, "Why does everyone keep telling me that?"

As revealed by Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), the murderous villain, who is portrayed by "Game of Thrones" actor Ciaran Hinds, "came as the spearhead of an alien invasion" in her land, long before she was born.

In the comics, Steppenwolf is the head of Apokolips' armed forces. In the upcoming film, which marks his cinematic debut, the villainous character will lead an army of Parademons to Earth to hunt down three motherboxes for Darkseid, an intergalactic supervillain hell-bent on death and domination.

"Justice League" is coming to theaters across the nation on November 17. Directed by Zack Snyder from a script by Chris Terrio, the film has Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher starring as the titular superhero team. The supporting cast includes Amy Adams, Amber Heard, J.K. Simmons, Jeremy Irons, Willem Dafoe, Connie Nielsen and Diane Lane.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat.

But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
