Due to the bite from his dog on his nose, the 'Revolutionary Love' star had to step down as an MC at military performances for about a month.

AceShowbiz - Turns out Choi Siwon himself was once bitten by his own dog Bugsy, which recently bit and caused the death of a neighbor. It has just been revealed that the Super Junior member was bitten by his French Bulldog pet during his military service.

According to report, the 31-year-old singer/actor returned from his vacation with a bite from his dog on his nose during his service as a promotional policeman. He allegedly had a band-aid on the wound and it affected his performances at military events because he was the face of the police squad.

Siwon was actually in charge of MC-ing, but another soldier had to step in for about a month. He also had to switch positions from center to the edge during performances. The "She Was Pretty" star reportedly apologized to his fellow policemen for affecting performances due to the bite.

As reported before, Siwon's family dog had bitten a neighbor inside an elevator and she died four days later due to sepsis. The star had apologized for the unfortunate incident and sent his condolences to the victim's family.

"This is Choi Siwon. Once again, I bow my head in apology toward the family of the deceased, who must be suffering from the great shock and sorrow of losing a loved one. I feel deeply apologetic after hearing about the situation regarding our family's dog. I offer my most sincere condolences toward the family of the deceased," he wrote on Twitter.

"I feel strongly responsible as a member of a family who raises a dog," he continued. "I am currently deeply reflecting for failing to supervise strictly, which led to carelessness and a shocking event. I will do my duty to make sure such an event does not happen again. I apologize for worrying you. I pray a happy afterlife for the deceased."

His father Choi Ki Ho also released a statement via the Instagram account of Siwon's younger sister. "It is true that the deceased neighbor suffered a bite from our family dog, while our door was slightly ajar for a brief moment, and that she died as a result of sepsis," Siwon's father stated. "However, we heard after inquiring that additional causes such as secondary infection or a problem caused during the treatment process cannot be ruled out at this point, and so it is difficult to pinpoint the direct cause of death."

Later, a family of the victim, Mrs. Kim, released a statement. "It is true that she was bitten by the dog and it is also true that after being bitten, she passed away due to sepsis," said Mrs. Kim's sister. "It was an unfortunate death. However, we forgave them because I know the relationship she had with the dog owners (Siwon and his family) previously. Hating them for what transpired will not bring my sister back."

She continued, "We would like to take this time to quietly mourn the death of my sister privately. We also have no intention of filing a lawsuit and do not expect to be compensated. Siwon visited the bereaved family several times and sincerely apologized. He shed tears with us at the funeral and I held his hand and forgave him."

Despite the fact that the victim's family already forgave Siwon's family, people are demanding that Siwon quit his currently-airing drama series "Revolutionary Love". "Either drop Choi out of it, or stop filming the drama," read a comment. Another wrote, "It's insane of him to continue the drama amid the turmoil that involves a death."

"Revolutionary Love", which premiered October 14 on tvN, also stars Kang So Ra and Gong Myung. It airs every Saturday and Sunday at 21:00 KST.
