Siwon and his father release a statement each to apologize and offer condolences to the victim's family after their French bulldog bit a neighbor inside his apartment complex.

AceShowbiz - Choi Siwon's family dog caused the death of a neighbor. On Friday, October 20, reports emerged that a man, Mr. Kim (53), was bitten by a French Bulldog inside his apartment complex and died four days later due to sepsis. It's now revealed that the dog in question belongs to Siwon's family.

The Super Junior member took to Twitter on Saturday to express his condolences and apologize to the victim's family. He wrote, "This is Choi Siwon. Once again, I bow my head in apology toward the family of the deceased, who must be suffering from the great shock and sorrow of losing a loved one. I feel deeply apologetic after hearing about the situation regarding our family's dog. I offer my most sincere condolences toward the family of the deceased."

"I feel strongly responsible as a member of a family who raises a dog," he continued. "I am currently deeply reflecting for failing to supervise strictly, which led to carelessness and a shocking event. I will do my duty to make sure such an event does not happen again. I apologize for worrying you. I pray a happy afterlife for the deceased."

Siwon's father Choi Ki Ho also released a statement via the Instagram account of Siwon's younger sister. "It is true that the deceased neighbor suffered a bite from our family dog, while our door was slightly ajar for a brief moment, and that he died as a result of sepsis," Siwon's father stated. "However, we heard after inquiring that additional causes such as secondary infection or a problem caused during the treatment process cannot be ruled out at this point, and so it is difficult to pinpoint the direct cause of death."

Siwon's father also said their family had personally visited Mr. Kim's family and bowed their heads in apology. He added, "We are worried that the spread of untruthful or speculative content may further hurt Mr. Kim's family, who are mourning silently. We ask that this matter does not escalate any further. Also, we will secure our dog firmly so that such an event does not happen again."

Mr. Kim was reportedly the CEO of a famous, traditional restaurant which was frequented by various Korean presidents in the past.

It's unclear which dog that bit the neighbor, but Siwon has several times posted pictures of his French Bulldog named Bugsy.
