A source reveals that the 'Twilight' star and the English singer/songwriter 'both know they were no longer working as a couple' as 'things have become tough between them.'

AceShowbiz - Robert Pattinson is back on the market! The 31-year-old actor and fiancee FKA twigs have called it quits after three years together. While there have been reports circulating for months that the couple was on the brink of a split, a source has confirmed to The Sun that the pair have officially ended their engagement.
Pattinson and twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, started dating in September 2014 and got engaged just seven months later. But the "Twilight" actor has called time on their romance after the pair grew apart over the past few months, according to the source.
"They were almost inseparable for their first two years together. But in recent months they have really started to drift apart and have been spending less and less time together," the insider revealed to the publication.
"Rob is tired of it, has called off their engagement and told friends they have split," continued the insider, before adding, "With so much history between them, though, there are still strong feelings there." The source concluded, "It's a difficult situation but things have become tough between them for some time and they both know they were no longer working as a couple."
Pattinson left fans wondering if he's split from twigs when he said in an interview back in July that he was "kind of" engaged to the singer. He gave her glowing praise in the interview, though, saying that "she's super-talented and from a totally different world."
Rumors of them splitting up just grew stronger when twigs was pictured in Ibiza with French model Brieuc Breitenstein in the following month. The two looked cozy with each other as they strolled along the streets during their date. The 29-year-old songstress was seen without her engagement ring a few weeks later.
