Meanwhile, the 'Younger Now' singer revealed that she wasn't high during her infamous 2013 VMA perfomance, saying, 'That's how insane I am.'

AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus took over the seat next to James Corden in his car for an all new "Carpool Karaoke" in Tuesday, October 10 episode of "The Late Late Show with James Corden". The "Malibu" songstress and the host belted a number of Miley's hit songs, including "The Climb", "Party in the U.S.A.", "Younger Now" and "We Can't Stop", which was the first song they chose to kick off the car ride.

It was more than a singing together as the 24-year-old pop star took a moment to reflect her past, including her "Wrecking Ball" days. When asked how high on a scale of 1 to 10 she was when filming the much-maligned music video, Miley didn't even need to think about the answer. "10," she quickly responded, before singing the song.

She further added that she really cried in the iconic video. "I really was crying though, I mean it wasn't [fake]," Miley said. "I thought about my puppy. I had a puppy that had died and it was like my number one, so I thought my puppy the whole time. That's how much I loved my puppy."

As for her infamous 2013 VMA perfomance, in which she twerked and grinded on Robin Thicke, Miley said that wasn't even high. "I can't smoke before I go on stage. I get too scared," Cyrus explained to a dumbfounded James. "That's just me. That's how scary, that's how insane I am. That's just normal."

"[It] led me to being the activist I am now, because I realized if that many people were gonna talk about something that I did or something that I do, then I should make it a good thing," she opened up to the host, adding that that was a pivotal moment in her life. "I should make it something that can change people's lives, rather than be a controversial conversation that does nothing but become a fun Halloween costume for people."

While things are getting better for the girlfriend of Liam Hemsworth, it doesn't mean that she hasn't been getting in trouble because she did, thanks to her bad driving skills. "I was at 'The Voice' set and I was the last one to leave, and I backed my car into the sound trailer. But I didn't tell anyone, I just left. So I did a hit and run," she said.

Miley tried not to raise anyone's suspicions so the asked her manager to try and get a new parking spot farther from the set. But she ended up telling on herself when she went to tell fellow coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton about the accident. "But I was mic'd! So the sound people knew it was me. I told on myself, even though I went through all the craziness to not get busted," she said while laughing.
