'Justice League' New Trailer Offers Glimpse at Superman
Movie

Get a sneak peek at Henry Cavill as he reprises his role as Clark Kent in the latest trailer for the DC team-up superhero movie.

AceShowbiz - "Justice League" debuts a brand new trailer packed with high-octane action footage. The clip finally shows Henry Cavill's Clark Kent a.k.a. Superman. The Man of Steel returns in an unexpected way as Amy Adams' Lois Lane and the world are mourning his death.

During his absence, the world faces a new threat. Ciaran Hinds' Steppenwolf unleashes his evil army to take over planet Earth. Ben Affleck's The Batman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa's Aquaman, Ray Fisher's Cyborg, and Ezra Miller's The Flash band together to take the villain down before it's too late.

The movie is coming out November 17 stateside. The film was directed by Zack Snyder but the reshoots were handled by Josh Whedon ("The Avengers") who was originally brought into DC Universe to helm "Batgirl". Whedon stepped in when Snyder left the franchise due to family issues.

The tentpole film will be followed by a solo Aquaman movie directed by James Wan. It's due December 21, 2018. "Wonder Woman 2" which sees Patty Jenkins returning as a director will follow on December 13, 2019. "Flashpoint" is expected to come out for a 2020 release. No director is attached to the Flash movie.

The other new DC adaptations include the Joker origin movie. Directed by Todd Phillips, it's rumored to take place outside the current shared universe. It's still unclear whether or not Jared Leto reprises his role after his introduction as the antihero in "Suicide Squad" got lukewarm reception. His onscreen female counterpart Margot Robbie, however, is expected to reprise her role as Harley Quinn for future film(s).

A stand-alone movie about The Dark Knight is in the works as well. There have been rumors that Ben Affleck won't return as The Caped Crusader, sparking speculations that the film will not be a part of the current universe either.
