Shields says that Trump used a cringey pick-up line to pursue her after he parted ways with his second wife Marla Maples.

AceShowbiz - Donald Trump used to hit on Brooke Shields more than 20 years ago. When dropping by Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live", the former child star, now 52 years old, revealed the pick-up line used by the now-President as he tried to score a date with her.
According to the actress who has just been signed on for "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", Trump made a move on her right after calling it quits with his second wife Marla Maples. "I have a boyfriend, he's not going to be happy about it," she turned him down.
"I was on location doing a movie and he called me right after he had gotten a divorce," Shields remembered. "And he said, 'I really think we should date because you're America's sweetheart and I'm America's richest man and the people would love it.' "
President Trump was once rejected by Salma Hayek as well. In 2016, she told Trevor Noah that Trump pursued her even though she wasn't single. His infatuation started after they met at an event. He invited Hayek and her then-boyfriend to his hotel and asked for their phone numbers.
He never called her boyfriend but contacted her instead and asked her out. When she reminded him that she had a boyfriend, he told her, "He's not good enough for you. He's not important, he's not big enough for you. You have to go out with me.' "
When she turned him down, he planted a story on tabloid that they didn't date because she was "too short." He later used the fabricated tale to ask her out again. "He called and left me a message. 'Can you believe this? Who would say this? I don't want people to think this about you,' " she said. "He thought that I would try to go out with him so people wouldn't think that's why he wouldn't go out with me."
