She was accompanied by her boyfriend Danny Fujikawa who suited up in all black. The couple was joined by her co-stars like Chadwick Boseman, Josh Gad and Sterling K. Brown. Other famous guests at the special screening included Andra Day and Tamron Hall.

"Last nights premiere of @marshallmovie with these amazing men," Kate captioned a picture of her with her male co-stars. Josh also shared a couple of photos from the event. "Amazing night last night. Incredible response. Thank you NYC for the love," he wrote in one of them.

"Marshall" revolves around Thurgood Marshall who went on to become the first African-American Supreme Court Justice. Directed by Reginald Hudlin, the true-story pic is also supported by the likes of Dan Stevens, Sophia Bush, Jussie Smollett and TLC's Chilli.

Chadwick Boseman portrays the lead character while Kate Hudson plays wealthy socialite Eleanor Strubing. The film focuses on a notorious trial early in Marshall's career. As a brilliant young attorney for the NAACP, he traveled across the country defending innocent black men accused of crimes.

In 1940 on the eve of World War II, Marshall teamed up with Sam Friedman (Josh Gad), a Jewish lawyer from Bridgeport, Connecticut, to defend Joseph Spell (Sterling K. Brown), a black chauffeur accused of sexually assaulting his rich white employer, Strubing.

Kate Hudson was seen in "Mother's Day" and "Deepwater Horizon" last year. She will next star in a Richard Pryor biopic written by Bill Condon. She is expected to share screen with Eddie Murphy, Taraji P. Henson, Oprah Winfrey, Tracy Morgan and Mike Epps.
