Rumors about the departure of Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke from the Batman solo movie is fueled by the statement from the 'Arrow' showrunner.

AceShowbiz - "Arrow" showrunner Marc Guggenheim added fuel to rumors that Slade Wilson or better known as Deathstroke might no longer be in "The Batman". According to the producer, DC's plans for the villainous character who was supposed to be played by Joe Manganiello have indeed "changed."

"It was a function of ... you know, DC control these characters. We went through a period where DC was like, 'We've got plans for Deathstroke that don't include Arrow.' That changed at the end of this year," the producer revealed to Collider in a recent interview.

Guggenheim said that he then tried to convince DC to let him bring Deathstroke back into his TV show for a big arc in the upcoming Season 6. He got the permission to use the character, but they still need to "operate within the requirements of DC."

Bill Wintergreen was the first version of Deathstroke that appeared on "Arrow". He was played by Jeffery C. Robinson. Slade Wilson played by Manu Bennett later took up the mantle. He is expected to return in episode 6 for a family reunion that includes his son Joe Wilson (Liam Hall).

Rumors about Deathstroke's exit from DC Extended Universe started in March. The new Batman solo movie was reportedly re-written from the scratch. Rumor has it, Ben Affleck will not star in the Matt Reeves-directed movie. The Caped Crusader will be portrayed by a different actor and it will not be a part of DC Extended Universe.

While waiting for an official annoucement from DC and WB, Ben Affleck is going to return as the Gotham superhero in "Justice League" which is scheduled to come out on November 17 in the United States. He will be joined by Gal Gadot who is back as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, and Ezra Miller as The Flash. The movie also stars Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Ciaran Hinds as the main baddie Steppenwolf.
