In Wednesday, September 6 episode of the NBC talent competition, things took a dramatic turn when Tyra Banks revealed two favorite acts were eliminated.

AceShowbiz - Following Tuesday's live performances, "America's Got Talent" announced in Wednesday, September 6 episode who got eliminated and who made it to the next round. Among eleven semifinalists who performed last night, only seven of them would make into finals.

Host Tyra Banks first announced three acts who were up for the coveted Dunkin' Save. Much to everyone's surprise, Chase Goehring, Evie Clair and the only magician left Eric Jones were the three performers vying for the Dunkin' Save. America was given 30 minutes to vote to save their favorite act from elimination.

For the first elimination, comedian Preacher Lawson and gospel choir DaNell Daymon and Greater Works were asked to step forward. It turned out that "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" would be the singers' last performance on the show as they were eliminated. Meanwhile, Preacher was sent to the finals.

Yoli Mayor and Johnny Manuel were the next acts to learn their fates. Things took a dramatic turn as Tyra revealed that neither of them would move on.

Everyone at the Dolby Theater was left speechless by the shocking results, with Simon Cowell saying, "I don't normally say this in the semi-finals, and it's going to sound like a cliche, but I don't mean it this way, but no one is going to leave here tonight a loser." He added, "I'm disappointed that neither of you are going to [move on] but you could not have done any more, and that's the most important thing. You can walk out with your heads held high."

Joining Preacher Lawson in the finals was singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne. Meanwhile, subway singer Mike Yung had to pack his belongings and went home. Sarah & Hero was also among the finalists announced that night, with death-defying roller-blading duo Billy and Emily eliminated.

And then it came the time to reveal the winner of the Dunkin' Save. Based on the live vote, America decided to save Evie. It made Chase and Eric's fates hang by a thread. Simon and fellow judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Melanie Brown a.k.a. Mel B were left with an extremely difficult choice to choose between the two. Heidi's choice went to Eric, but Mel, Simon and Howie wanted to see more of Chase.

With that, the first five finalists of "America's Got Talent" are Chase, Evie, Darci, Preacher and Sarah & Hero.
