The 'World War Z' actor is allegedly seeking bifurcation, a legal step that will allow him and the actress to finalize the divorce even before settling custody and property agreement.

AceShowbiz - It looks like there is really no hope of reconciliation for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Nearly a year after the actress filed for divorce, the actor is reportedly desperate to finalize the proceedings and finally take control of his life again. According to In Touch Weekly, Brad is planning to seek bifurcation as a means to speed up the process.
As the pair have been dealing with the proceedings for almost a year, a bifurcation would allow them to divorce prior to settling the terms of custody agreement and property divisions. "There has been little progress in getting close to a settlement," a source told the site. "Brad has had enough. He's ready to officially take back control of his life."
The source further noted that the actor is "planning on asking his lawyer to speed up the divorce." "His life has been at a standstill while he's spent a year appeasing Angelina. He wants to move on to the next phase of his life without having his hands tied by her--and he wants it soon," the source added. "Restoring his status to a single person isn't about Brad going out on the town and dating, but about his beginning a new chapter."
While Brad is seemingly more than ready to live a single life, Angelina recently shared that she doesn't enjoy being single. "Sometimes maybe it appears I am pulling it all together," she explained. "But really I am just trying to get through my days. I don't enjoy being single. It's not something I wanted. There's nothing nice about it. It's just hard."
Prior to this, Brad and Angelina were said to be putting the divorce on hold. "It's true that the divorce is not moving forward right now. They are taking a breather and seeing what happens," a source previously revealed. "They don't take divorce lightly and want to make sure they are doing the right thing. A lot has changed since Angelina filed. Things can change quickly, but they aren't pursuing the divorce at this time."
