Tina Knowles and Serena Williams were also among those recreating one of Bey's iconic looks from her 'Formation' music video, while Adele is leading the charge in paying birthday tribute on Twitter.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles turned 36 on Monday, September 4. In celebration of the singer turning another year older that day, her friends and family including former First Lady Michelle Obama, Kelly Rowland, Bey's daughter Blue Ivy, mom Tina Knowles and Serena Williams recreated one of Bey's iconic looks from her "Formation" music video.

Bey posted the special birthday tribute on her website. Also channeling the mother of three by dressing up with a big hat, braids and statement necklace were Bey's songwriter pal Angie Beyince, Chloe Bailey, Halle Bailey, Michelle Williams as well as Jay-Z's mom Gloria Carter and Bey's step-sister Bianca Lawson.

"Happy birthday Beyonce from your family and friends," read the message above the photos on the website. In addition to being birthday tribute, the black-and-white photos are drawing attention to the relief efforts in Bey's hometown of Houston, Texas, following Hurricane Harvey. "Join us in supporting Houston relief efforts. #BeyGoodHouston," read the accompanying message.

Meanwhile, Bey's fellow singer Adele is leading the charge in paying birthday tribute on Twitter. The "Rolling in the Deep" hitmaker tweeted, "Happy Birthday to the Queen @Beyonce We love you like no other x," along with a gorgeous black-and-white photo of Bey.

Bey's dad Matthew Knowles also wished his daughter a happy birthday in an emotional Instagram post. "Happy Birthday @beyonce! I love you and I'm so proud of you!" he wrote.

Ellen DeGeneres wished the megastar a happy birthday on the micro-blogging site and thanked her for promoting the new season of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", which starts Tuesday, September 5. "I love you for doing this. Happy birthday," the 59-year-old host wrote.

Bey's hubby Jay-Z kicked off the celebration on Sunday night when he performed at the annual Made in America Festival in Philadelphia. During his set, the 47-year-old rapper and businessman got the whole crowd to sing "Happy Birthday" to his wife, while she was spotted in the audience dancing and looking so happy.
